PASSPORTS/VISAS All US Citizens are advised that you will need to have a valid passport for travel anywhere outside of the US starting in 2007. No birth certificates will be accepted for Mexico, Bahamas or the Caribbean after 2006 **Due to recordbreaking passport applications, the US Government and Homeland Security have announced that US Citizens who have applied but not received their passports, and have current travel plans may still travel. Your requirements will still include proper proof of citizenship such as an original birth certificate with the raised seal or a state certified copy, plus a valid government issued photo ID such a drivers license PLUS a certified copy of your proof of application for a passport. You can obtain proof of application at http://travel.state.gov Please note that these restrictions have only been relaxed for destinations in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean and does not include Europe, South America or any other destination that required a passport. |
